A well-developed consulting firm is now looking for a high calibre Associate Director-Claims. Ideal candidate should come from a Quantity Surveying background with extensive experience in contracts and claims management. Expert Witness experience would be an extra merit.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform Dispute Resolution, arbitration, mediation and litigation support work
• Provide contracts administration, professional contractual and claims advices, assistance and management services to clients
• Develop and maintain good relationship with clients and different stakeholders and business partners
• Identity and capitalize new business opportunities
• Perform daily management and operations

Desired Skills and Experience

• 15-20 years’ experience in the construction industry and Quantity Surveying background highly preferred
• Extensive experience on large scale building and civil engineering projects
• Extensive experience in claims management: claims preparation and rebuttal, claims advice and assistance and contracts administration
• Dispute resolution, arbitration, mediation and litigation support work.
• Experienced in Expert witness work desired
• Cantonese skills desired but not essential

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying/ Civil Engineering/Construction Management or equivalent
• Post-grad dip/ Msc/LLM Construction Law & Arbitration or similar qualification desired
• RICS and/or CIArb chartership highly desired
