Senior Claims Consultant

Project Details

The nature of the company's work is such that you will spend your time in between Head Office and their clients office / site. You will work on an assignment basis, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects with various clients. 

Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of consultants or working independently on a commission depending on its size and complexity. You will be offering advice and performing with work on behalf of the client in the following areas:

• Dispute Resolution
• Contract Administration
• Adjudication
• Arbitration
• Expert Witness
• Mediation

Desired Skills and Experience

• Previous experience of operating in a Claims & Dispute Resolution specific role is essential
• Substantial experience in managing the drafting, writing and submittal of claims
• Experience of managing a team of claims staff is desired
• Detailed knowledge of adjudication and arbitration
• Previous experience in the Middle East is strongly desired for this role, but may not essential for candidates with the above experience / qualifications

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• The successful candidate will need to be Degree qualified (or similar equivalent)
• The successful candidate will ideally hold a further qualification in Construction Law such as MSc or a similar equivalent. Candidates working towards this qualification may be considered if they have substantial demonstrable experience in claims.
• Membership to a professional body such as the RICS and/or CIArb is desired
