Maxim Recruitment is looking to hire an Apprentice/Trainee Recruitment Consultant for their UK Head Office in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading recruitment company in the overseas construction industry.

From the UK office, the candidate will work closely alongside the office manager assisting in general day to day tasks in relation to recruiting construction professionals in the Middle East and other overseas locations.

Whilst gaining experience in a recruitment office environment, the candidate will also work towards an industry recognised recruitment apprenticeship qualification with a leading training consultancy in the industry. The Apprenticeship qualification will require candidates to complete a portfolio of work over 12 months with supervision in house.

Responsibilities and Duties

The purpose of this role will be to work closely with the UK Office Manager and generally assisting him in business development, candidate management and general administration tasks.

• Business to business sales calls
• Candidate Interviewing
• Candidate Searching and short listing
• Writing Job Descriptions
• Identifying business leads
• Database cleansing
• General administration tasks

Desired Skills and Experience

This is a trainee role, therefore we are not expecting candidates to have years of experience directly relating to recruitment. Instead, we are keen to employ a hardworking, confident and professional individual who would like to train towards becoming a fully qualified Recruitment Consultant in time. Some of the key skills we are looking for are:

• GCSE’s (or similar equivalent) in English & Maths is essential
• Literate with a good level of written English
• Confident and articulate, with a good telephone manner
• Reliable and Punctual in their approach to work
• Good organisational and planning skills
