My client is a well established institution in Hong Kong. At the moment, as business is expanding they are looking for a Contract Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Review all outsourced estimates by external consultants
  • Maintain and update the Budget System, cost data, information sets and benchmarking analysis, ensure data integrity and accuracy of property expenditure and forecasts
  • Work closely with other departments and parties, such as Finance, the Head of Property Development Management and the Executive Manager,Commercial & Contract ,Schedule Manager, Category Managers, Development Managers and colleagues from the Commercial Management team to build accurate spend and cost profiles across the programme, and produce and generate reports, analysis and management information on the Property spend across the portfolio
  • Assist in the preparation of funding papers and reports to meet the gateway deliverables of the development management process
  • Work with the Development Managers in their liaison with business users to document and clarify anticipated project scope/briefs to improve the certainty of estimates
  • Engage regularly with Commercial Management colleagues to collate and build accurate data sets of project spend
  • Engage third-party support as necessary to build the Club's data intelligence set where data is not available internally
  • Build and collate an "estimation database" to support future estimates

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Min. 10 years relevant post-qualified work experience, in construction or property industry preferably not less than 5 years estimating experience
  • Able to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills, able to closely liaise with other departments
  • Track record of leading major projects/programmes of work
  • Excellent interpersonal, supervisory and project management skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Degree holder in Quantity Surveying OR related disciplines
  • Professional qualifications in Chartered Member HKIS / RICS or equivalent
