A Quantity Surveyor is being sought by a leading UK contractor to work upon multiple new build projects in Kent. Such projects will include: retail, health, education, office and residential projects. Could this be an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your skills?

Project Details

The successful candidate will be required to work upon multiple new build projects with values ranging up to 30 million GDP. Projects will include: retail, health, education, office and residential buildings.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be answerable to the Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager. This role will require the successful candidate to perform a full spectrum of Quantity Surveyor duties, including, but not limited to:

  • Contract administration
  • Subcontractor management
  • Conducting valuations
  • Cost value reconciliations
  • Change schedule management
  • Variations (compensation/additional time/ additional works)
  • Pricing compensation
  • Client liaison management
  • Preparation of final accounts
  • ssuing Interim payments certificates

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Excellent knowledge of the construction industry
  • Experience of working on new build projects is desirable
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • IT literate
  • Excellent verbal, written and mathematical skills


Qualifications/Educational Requirements

Degree or similar equivalent in Quantity Surveying
