Quantum Expert

A leading disputes practice is seeking a Quantum Expert to join their Hong Kong office. The ideal candidate will have testified in court, and acted as an Expert Witness on major construction disputes either in UK or overseas. You will be a well rounded exprience in providing services to a wide range of clients in the global construction industry.

Project Details

You will work on a variety of projects at various stages of dispute working predominantly out of the Hong Kong office.

Responsibilities and Duties

The job role available is to work as a Quantum Consultant providing support to a senior Director within the business on major claims & disputes in the construction market. The majority of this work will relate to the Arbitration and Litigation process of major claims, as well as providing expertise as a consultant over the life cycle of a project. During a year, you will likely be involved on multiple projects and the role will offer exposure to an exciting variety of projects. You will testify and be cross examined in court, so previous experience of this is a must. The majority of this work will relate to the Arbitration and Litigation process of major claims. Desired Skills and Experience

Experience testifying in court on major construction cases
Strong knowledge and understanding of typical Quantity Surveying duties including cost plans and variations is essential.
Previous experience of working on site for either a Consultancy or Contractor in construction is essential

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

Qualified to degree level or similar equivalent is desired
Membership to a professional body such as the RICS or similar equivalent is desired
FCIArb or MCIArb is desirable
MSc in Construction Law is desirable
