An employee centric homeware business is seeking to appoint an energetic and forward thinking Technical Sales Director for their Hong Kong and Asia business, based in their regional office in Hong Kong. Client is looking for someone at Sales Manager / Sales Director level for home decoration who understands how to drive profit and grow the business.

Project Details

You will be based in their regional headquarters in Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Dealing with product categories within homeware industry
  • Bring on board new sales to increase annual revenue
  • Elevate factories performance across all business risks
  • Based in Hong Kong and reporting to the Managing Director in UK, the Technical Sales Director will identify, target and champion business development and technical sales opportunities whilst managing materials allocation, production planning and global transport. 
  • You will significantly contribute to the ambitious goals the company has set itself for growth within the global market for homeware decor. 
  • You will be responsible for identifying and developing technical sales opportunities with new clients as well as maintaining solid relations with existing customers; 
  • You will gather business intelligence of upcoming major projects; 
  • You will develop new client relationships through site visits, product solution presentations, provision of technical advice & support and through the conclusion of business development and technical sales; 
  • You will work closely with the client to fully appreciate their requirements and engineer a best in class solution which satisfies the client’s requirements, budget and time-line.
  • You will develop and implement coordinated planning, forecasting and reporting in line with company requirements and company’s overall annual sales strategy and defined goals;
  • This is a unique opportunity for an intelligent, solutions orientated engineer to join a close knit, highly dynamic sales team and develop strong business development and technical sales growth across Hong Kong and Asia.

  • 10 years of relevant sales and management experience
  • Strong communication skills and fluent in English & Mandarin
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Manage team to ensure they reach full company goals and expectations
  • Strong and in-depth understanding of business growth
  • Strong commercial sense, can think out the box and can work independently
  • Mature in knowing how to meet deadlines with customers and supply
  • Being experienced on how to work with large multi-national blue chip companies internationally and understand buyers and customer needs
  • being able to grow existing and new business revenue
  • Self motivated quicker thinker understanding new business development increasing existing turnover and bringing on board new customers sales to generate company growth

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Batchelor Degree holder or equivalent
