Senior Project Architect Job

Fabulous opportunity for a Senior Project Architect to join a close knit client team on a major infrastructure project in Hong Kong

Responsibilities and Duties

• Providing technical assistance to ensure architectural elements are designed, specified and built to achieve the required standards of aesthetics, materials and workmanship;
• Reviewing consultants; designs and contractors’ submissions to ensure compliance with sound architectural principles and the required standards;
• Reviewing technical proposals and site works to ensure the required quality and safety standards are maintained;
• Analysing technical submissions for compliance with the statutory and other specified requirements;
• Monitoring progress of the works, maintain comprehensive records and prepare thorough progress reports;
• Co-ordinating design and construction interface issues and proactively resolve potential clashes; and
• Preparing design proposals as required to facilitate the project works.

Desired Skills and Experience

• At least 10 years’ experience, of which minimum 6 years in project management
• Experience in statutory submission for building works
• Experience in management of airport terminal design and construction works is preferred
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and project management software tools
• Knowledge of CADD software such as Microstation or AutoCAD
• Knowledge of BIM is preferred

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or other related disciplines
• Professional Qualification in Architecture gained from a recognized professional institution (e.g. HKIA) is required
