Temporary Traffic Management System Engineer

An experienced Temporary Traffic Management System (TTMS) Engineer at manager level is required by a global main contractor to assist with critical temporary traffic management on a major MTR project in Hong Kong.

Project Details

A major MTRC rail expansion project. You will be stationed in the contractors HQ in Kowloon.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, you will devise, develop, drive the approvals for, implement and oversee critical temporary traffic management schemes across Hong Kong in order to enable unhindered progress to the project.
• You will work closely with the project planning team and project logistics team to determine the optimum sequencing of your traffic management schemes
• You will prepare comprehensive method statements for your schemes, addressing constructability, safety and environmental concerns and manage submissions to the client and relevant Government authorities.
• You will communicate with the various project teams to address any technical issues arising from live schemes and act as the company’s public communications expert on the matter.

Desired Skills and Experience

• 10 years min experience in designing, implementing and managing critical temporary traffic management schemes across Hong Kong
• Strong network and connection with relevant Government authorities including Highways Dept, ASD and HA.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and Chinese

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Degree in a construction or Engineering related discipline
• Professional membership of a chartered institute is preferred
