Senior Quantity Surveyor job opportunity for Quantity Surveyors with previous Middle East experience to join an established main contractor in Dubai to work on data centre projects.

The employer covers a multitude of busy sectors including, residential, hospitality, healthcare, infrastructure, education, and others.

This role is suitable for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with some Middle East experience already.

Project Details

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will work as part of a busy team effectively managing all the costs relating to building and civil engineering & Infrastructure projects.

You will be based at the employer's office in Dubai and on-site on various large-scale construction projects. Successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, along with excellent analytical, problem solving, planning and contract administration skills.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Interim payment applications in accordance with the terms of the contract and actual work progress.
  • Preparing and compiling variation claim documents
  • Cost reporting, controlling & monitoring, Budget updating.
  • Project Cash flow and periodic assessments of anticipated final cost and reporting.
  • Preparing KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reports, to monitor Budget Cost
  • Prepare & Compile Final Accounts Payment applications
  • Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
  • Attendance and representation at commercial meetings
  • Control project scope to meet project objectives to enhance project deliverables and key work activities.
  • Monitor and control costs throughout the project

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Stable experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a top-tier main contractor or a subcontractor.
  • Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the Middle East
  • Knowledge of pre- and post-contract administration.
  • Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, drawings and specifications.
  • Candidates must have strong client-facing skills
  • Ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.
  • Strong communication skills as well as excellent verbal and written English
  • Strong analytical capabilities

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Candidates must hold a degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar equivalent.
  • RICS or other equivalent professional body membership would be preferred.
