Senior Structural Engineer

We are working closely with an exciting, dynamic and niche Hong Kong based international structural engineering consultancy, to find an energetic and highly motivated senior structural design engineer to join their team and really make a difference, based in Hong Kong.
Project Details
The successful candidate would be joining an established office in Hong Kong, working with prestigious high end retail clients, cultural heritage, hospitality, and educational clients amongst many others on the region's most prestigious built environment projects. He/ she will have significant opportunities to learn from and be mentored by the leadership team and grow their career in a supportive, collaborative, nurturing environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
- As Senior Engineer you will take the lead role and "own" projects from inception to completion and handover
- Responsible for technical and to a degree, commercial delivery of high end complicated design projects
- You will manage your own time and budget and work closely with the team to provide a best in class service to the client..
- You will manage the client and all relevant stakeholders' expectations and drive the interdisciplinary design coordination and interfacing.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers
Desired Skills and Experience
- Chartered or nearly chartered
- Cantonese language skills is a must
- Good team skills acquired by working in a collaborative environment with other design and construction professionals.
- Demonstrable design experience with a wide range of building
- Demonstrable experience of structural design software including ETABS, STAAD Pro and Tecla Structures amongst others
- Strong understanding of finite element analysis and ability to demonstrate design effectiveness.
- Previous Hong Kong experience is advantageous
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Degree holder in Civil and or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
- Chartered with IStructE or equivalent.
