Assistant Engineer

One of a number of top drawer client side project management jobs we are recruiting for, this is a fabulous opportunity for a high calibre Assistant Engineer  preferably with airports construction and development experience to join a major infrastructure client in Hong Kong and play a pivotal in the delivery of a landmark airport project.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Providing technical assistance in the design and site supervision of civil and building works;
• Maintaining site records for safety, quality and resources;
• Undertaking interface/coordination related civil/ building/ structural works;
• Reviewing design/ contractors' submissions and technical reports;
  Ensuring that the consultants'/ contractors' proposals and works are in compliance with sound engineering principles and required standards in terms of quality and safety;
• Monitoring statutory submission of the consultants' and  contractors' design works, and ensuring the contractor’s works are in compliance with all statutory requirements;
• Providing technical support to site supervision teams including responding to request for information and preparing design change documents;
• Collaboratively working with contractors to ensure the works are completed on time and budget to a high level of quality

Desired Skills and Experience

• At least 3 years' relevant experience in design, construction, project management of civil/ structural projects;
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage;
• Proficient in MS Office applications

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or other related disciplines;
