Exciting Claims QS role covering change management and delay on a major civils and building project in Hong Kong.

Project Details

To work as a part of the commercial, quantity surveying and claims team on a major MTR related new construction project in Hong Kong. Duration will be 24 months+ and as a permanent staff position you will be assigned elsewhere after the final account is completed.

Responsibilities and Duties

The key responsibility for this Claims Quantity Surveyor job is to head up change management and to take a leading role and overview on delay events. You will be expected to manage change on the construction project and to spot new claim events & notify the client of variations. In this hands on claims role, you will be expected to write claims notices & substantiation and be able to attend meetings with your Senior Commercial Manager at board level to explain and update on project status in relation to claims related delay and their causal explanation.

Desired Skills and Experience

Suitable candidates will have Claims Quantity Surveyor job experience and will be demonstrably experienced in the Change Management function and and will have the competence to take a leading role and overview on delay events. Experience of Target Cost projects would be an advantage

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

A construction related qualification is desirable, such as an engineering or quantity surveying degree.
