Construction Cost Assurance
An excellent Assurance Manager opportunity within a cost consulting and estimating advisory team in London.
You will lead and review capital cost, deliverability, and forecasting on complex infrastructure, transport, and energy projects, supporting bids and producing high-quality analysis, dashboards, and reports for senior stakeholders.
Willingness to travel 2-3 working days per week/fortnight. Salary up to £70k+.

Responsibilities and Duties
Joining a collaborative Project & Programme Services practice focused on Estimating & Cost Advisory, you will provide assurance and advisory across the full project lifecycle.
- Plan and deliver assurance reviews on major and niche projects in the UK and overseas, with emphasis on capital costs and project deliverability.
- Lead production of high-quality client deliverables, including cost and risk analysis models, benchmark studies, reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Develop robust ‘should/could/will’ cost assessments and ‘forecast to complete/cost at completion’ using client, in-house, and market data.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to senior clients; craft concise messaging on complex issues and routes to improvement.
- Support bids and proposals; contribute to continuous improvement of deliverable quality and our internal methodologies.
- Provide technical leadership and peer review to drive consistent quality and knowledge sharing across the national team.
- Engage subject matter experts and stay connected with the wider Estimating & Cost Advisory practice to align on best practice and QA processes.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Strong technical background in project development and delivery with a specialism in cost management, estimating, and forecasting.
- Understanding of contingency application, cost breakdown structures, and indirect cost analysis; awareness of global thought leadership in cost.
- Experience contributing to or reviewing major project business cases and stage-gate assurance.
- Sound grasp of commercial and contractual requirements and their impact on estimates and forecasts.
- Confident stakeholder engagement with designers, engineers, project managers, and client leaders.
- Adaptable consultant able to work across multiple sectors and disciplines; motivated to learn new skills.
- This role may require UKSV security clearance; residency of 5+ years may be needed.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Chartered or working towards chartership with RICS, ICE, AACE, ACostE or similar (essential or actively in progress).
