Contract Administrator
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Contract Administrator to work on a complex industrial system project in Coquitlam, Vancouver.
This client-facing role combines procurement, contract administration commercial management, and project management responsibilities on a high-value construction management contract.
You will be working for a well-established project management and project delivery consultancy on a major industrial systems project.
Project Details
The successful Contract Administrator will work on major industrial rail related project involving industrial systems. It is a large-scale, complex scheme delivered under a construction management contract.

Responsibilities and Duties
This role offers a varied and client-facing position with responsibility across procurement, commercial management, and project delivery. Key duties will include:
- Running procurement activities
- Tracking procurement progress, costs, and commercial risks
- Reviewing contractor submissions
- Undertaking contract administration responsibilities
- Undertaking client facing liaison work, including time spent working from client offices
- Supporting project management activities across procurement and delivery phases
- Working closely with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure a successful project outcome
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial, contractual and procurement expertise gained on complex construction projects of CAD $500 million or above; in more detail:
- Commercial and procurement experience, ideally within buildings or facilities or industrial systems construction
- Have a background working for a contractor specialising within building construction or industrial systems
- Experience in a commercial role undertaking quantity surveying or contract administration duties
- Experience working on major projects valued at CAD $500 million or above
- Exposure to and experience of alternative delivery models
- Have gained relevant experience working as a Project Coordinator, Senior Project Coordinator, Junior Project Manager, Senior Project Manager or similar role
- Previous commissioning experience is desirable
- Typically 6–10 years of total professional experience will be expected, with flexibility based on quality of experience
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Degree qualified in a construction-related discipline such as Engineering or Project Management
- PEng qualification or other professional accreditation is desirable
