Exciting opportunity for a Cost Manager to join a leading cost-consultancy practice in the City of London. The successful candidate will be involved in the delivery of commercial developments, real estate projects, and high-specification data centres from early feasibility through to completion.

These projects include major office developments and technically complex data-centre fit outs with significant M&E packages.

This London Quantity Surveyor role will involve full pre-contract and post-contract cost management duties, working closely with clients, design teams, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.

The position offers excellent scope for professional growth, with structured APC support available for those working towards MRICS, and clear progression opportunities into senior roles within a highly regarded cost consultancy known for its collaborative culture and high-value project portfolio.

Project Details

Projects include commercial office developments, real estate schemes, and full-cycle data-centre fit-outs with major M&E packages. Experience in related high value building sectors will be useful.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare detailed cost plans, feasibility studies, and estimates.
  • Produce and manage tender documentation and assist with procurement strategies.
  • Provide post-contract services including valuations, change management, and final accounts.
  • Interface directly with clients, designers, and contractors.
  • Support and contribute to the development of junior team members.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 2 – 5 years’ cost-management experience within a consultancy environment.
  • Experience in commercial, data-centre, or real-estate projects.
  • Strong understanding of both pre- and post-contract processes.
  • Excellent numerical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with cost software and MS Excel.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
  • MRICS qualified or actively undertaking the APC with structured support available.
