A senior Director opportunity for an experienced PMIS and digital transformation professional to lead the development and implementation of digital strategies within a leading construction consultancy in Toronto.

This role offers the chance to shape client digital roadmaps, drive innovation, and deliver impactful programme-wide systems solutions across major capital projects.

The successful candidate will support major construction and infrastructure programmes across sectors such as transport, real estate, and utilities.

Responsibilities will focus on implementing PMIS and programme controls systems to enhance project delivery, improve data-driven decision-making, and optimise lifecycle performance across large-scale developments for a range of construction, property, infrastructure and government clients.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Director level PMIS construction professional, you will take a strategic leadership role in delivering digital transformation initiatives and managing client relationships at senior level.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the assessment of client organisations, identifying digital maturity, challenges, and opportunities across construction project environments
  • Develop and implement digital roadmaps aligned with client business objectives and construction project lifecycle requirements
  • Provide executive leadership on PMIS selection, implementation, integration, and optimisation across major programmes
  • Oversee the transition from legacy systems, including data migration, system decommissioning, and archival strategies
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, translating digital and data strategies into actionable implementation plans
  • Drive adoption of programme and project management information systems such as Procore, Aconex, Unifier, Autodesk Construction Cloud and similar platforms
  • Lead organisational change management initiatives to ensure the successful adoption of digital tools and systems
  • Oversee development of technical documentation, including solution architecture, data models, governance frameworks, and security protocols
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement in digital delivery across construction consultancy services
  • Lead, mentor, and grow high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture focused on service excellence
  • Drive business development activities, supporting bids, proposals, and client engagement strategies
  • Ensure effective communication and reporting across all stakeholder levels including executive leadership teams
  • Oversee development and deployment of bespoke digital tools, dashboards, and applications where required

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will be an experienced construction digital leader with a strong background in PMIS implementation and consultancy services within the built environment sector.

  • Extensive experience delivering digital transformation programmes within construction, infrastructure, or engineering environments
  • Proven leadership experience at senior management or director level within a consultancy or client organisation
  • Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles, programme delivery, and information management requirements
  • Demonstrable experience implementing PMIS platforms such as Procore, Aconex, Unifier, Kahua or Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Expertise in programme controls systems covering cost, schedule, risk, quality, and performance management
  • Strong knowledge of digital strategy, data governance, and enterprise data architecture
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud and associated service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
  • Ability to lead business analysis, solution design, and enterprise system integration initiatives
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience supporting business growth and client account development
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at the executive level
  • Experience managing large datasets, analytics solutions, and digital reporting tools
  • Knowledge of BIM processes and ISO 19650 standards is advantageous
  • Experience with programming or data tools such as Python, SQL or R is beneficial

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business, Economics, Mathematics or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years’ professional experience in digital, technology, consulting, or construction project environments
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership or director-level role
  • Professional certifications in project management, data, or digital transformation are advantageous
