Employer's Agent
Employer’s Agent position available in West / South-West London, for a professional with residential project experience. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Employer’s Agent/Contract Administration duties on new build residential developments for Local Authorities, Housing Associations, and Private Developers. Salary up to £60k.
In this Employer’s Agent London job, you will support Pre-Contract Surveyors and independently act as an Employer’s Agent for the delivery of residential projects. Hybrid working is an option to allow you to work remotely for 2 days a week.
Project Details
You will be working on new build residential schemes for a mixture of public and private sector clients, including Local Authorities, Housing Associations, and Private Developers.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Support pre-contract activities: develop project briefs, assemble delivery teams, procure consultancy services, and prepare tender/contract packages.
- Conduct and analyse tender processes and review contractor/developer proposals.
- Prepare and administer building contracts (JCT, Design and Build, bespoke agreements).
- Chair progress meetings, issue minutes, and manage ongoing project performance.
- Monitor time, cost, and quality, reporting regularly to the client.
- Manage project handover, including pre-handover inspections and post-completion activities (defects, final account, auditing building manuals).
Desired Skills and Experience
- Previous experience delivering Employer’s Agent/Contract Administration services for housing projects.
- Exposure to working with Local Authorities, Housing Associations, or Private Developers.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- MRICS qualified or working towards APC, or other relevant professional qualification.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Project Management, or similar.
