Planning Manager
Our client is seeking to appoint an experienced planning professional to oversee and lead planning activities on a large-scale public infrastructure enhancement initiative in Hong Kong.
Project Details
This extensive project involves complex civil, structural, and MEP works across multiple interconnected sites.
The scope includes major station-area upgrades, tunnel interface works, systems integration, and the renewal of critical assets.
The objective is to improve transportation network capacity, safety, and operational resilience within one of the region’s busiest transport corridors.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Spearhead the development and implementation of advanced planning and scheduling strategies to ensure project milestones and timelines are reliably achieved.
- Apply expert level knowledge of Earned Value Management EVM, project controls, and industry leading planning practices to facilitate strategic decision making.
- Provide comprehensive performance analysis and insights, effectively communicating findings to clients, project teams and stakeholders.
- Manage and influence complex project requirements, recommending corrective actions to mitigate risks and maintain project schedules.
- Lead, develop, and motivate a high performing planning team, fostering best practices and continuous improvement.
- Play a proactive role in supporting sustainability initiatives by identifying and managing carbon footprint impacts during project delivery.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 15 years of experience in construction planning, with a strong focus on large-scale, multidisciplinary projects.
- Demonstrable expertise in scheduling software such as Primavera P6
- Good exposure to Building Information Modeling BIM tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a solid grasp of current industry standards and practices.
- Proven ability to engage with stakeholders effectively and solve complex project challenges.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
