To play a part as a Programme Manager Commercial Fit Out based in Toronto, Canada

Responsibilities and Duties

  • To act as the project lead, to ensure that client objectives are met through the delivery of an effective Project Management service within the fit out specialist sector
  • To act as the Project Lead / Programme Manager to ensure commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time
  • To act as the project lead to ensure service delivery on commissions is in line with the conditions of appointment
  • Oversee a team of 3 to 4 project managers delivering fast paced commercial fit out projects
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and cross-functional team members
  • Monitor and document project progress and other performance indicators
  • Provide document control assurance and lead management of project information flow
  • Prepare Project Management progress reports and other key documentation to be presented to clients
  • Provide a key interface across all stakeholders, liaising with the client, other consultants, end users and authorities, at all project stages
  • Lead project planning, including production the detailed project delivery

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Around 10 years of relevant project delivery experience is expected
    Experience in managing corporate office/commercial fit out construction related projects.
  • Strong corporate office/commercial experience
  • Experience of working in a contractor, consultancy or owner organization
  • Ability to coordinate and organize multiple sources of information
  • Ability and capability to analyse third party (contractor/consultant) reports
  • Strong communication and management skills
  • Proficient in use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and experience of using project scheduling software (e.g. Microsoft Project, P6 etc.)
  • Experience of working in the Canadian construction market is highly desirable
  • Experience of working internationally on large and complex commercial or retail fit out projects is highly desirable

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • A recognized relevant university degree or diploma is preferred
