A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a world leading construction consultancy in their Nottingham office. You will be Project Managing or assisting in the project management of a range of building projects inclusive of schools, universities, residential, and retail. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established yet growing office of this renowned consultancy.

Project Details

Projects include schools, universities, residential and retail. The majority of work will be new build and / or refurbishment, with project values ranging from £1m - £20m+, with some of the larger projects reaching circa £50m in value.

Responsibilities and Duties

Effective delivery of Project Management services across a range of market sectors in particular; Primary and Secondary Schools, Retail, Higher Education and Residential
Support Senior Project Managers on complex multi faceted projects
Provide support to PM Team Leaders as required on all business issues including but not limited to business development, client management, bid writing, thought leadership

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience of both pre and post contract project management responsibilities
Experience of both public and private sector clients (desirable, not essential)
To be conversant with all aspects of project management
Strong IT skills with an understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
The ability to effectively chair and minute meetings
 Ideally, you will have experience of working in a consultancy environment
To be comfortable working independently (with senior support) whilst being pro-active and helping to identify what the next steps are in order to keep the project on track
A courteous manner with a high level of professionalism
A disciplined thinker and analytical, numerate, problem solver who has the judgement and the capacity to think complex issues through and develop effective solutions in a timely fashion.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

A relevant construction qualification or Prince2 and/or working towards professional membership of recognised institution i.e. APM or RICS
Drive and self motivation to have achieved a degree qualification and to continuously develop your technical and behavioural skills.
