Project Manager Marine Energy projects vacancy with an established consultancy business in Dublin.

This role is suitable for a motivated Project Manager who has previously worked in offshore or marine infrastructure projects.

Applicants must possess full working rights in Ireland to be considered for this position.

Previous experience of working in Ireland is advantageous.  Irish expats seeking to return to Ireland would also be of interest.

As a Project Manager Marine Energy projects you will join a dynamic and diverse team delivering large-scale Capital projects. You will specifically be working on offshore and marine infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Collaborate directly with infrastructure clientele to cultivate innovative insights and tailor solutions to address their specific requirements.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on overcoming challenges associated with capital project and program delivery.
  • Lead project initiation and mobilization efforts, establishing the operational framework and execution strategy.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of all project milestones.
  • Efficiently manage project plans, logs (e.g., risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), and budgets to drive effective project governance.
  • Execute key project and program activities across the entire project lifecycle.
  • Apply expertise to tailor services to clients with minimal guidance, including the development of high-calibre deliverables and presentation of project outcomes as needed.
  • Lead or contribute to small-scale engagements or specific work streams as required.
  • Demonstrate adeptness in business writing and proficient communication skills to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders, including senior management, through meetings, presentations, and reports.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 6 to 20 years experience delivering large-scale engineering capital projects.
  • Ideal candidate will have Offshore/Marine delivery experience.
  • Multidisciplinary experience including project management, engineering feasibility and design, contract management and procurement.
  • Previous experience in consulting or a similar client-facing role
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with a track record in managing complex programmes.
  • A good understanding of project governance and change management principles would be ideal
  • Certifications such as PRINCE2® or PMP are advantageous.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction, or a related field
