Project Quantity Surveyor
A Project Quantity Surveyor is required to work for a leading London based fit-out and refurbishment contractor, carrying out projects in Central London. This is a permanent position and would suit candidates capable of running projects between of circa £5m.
Project Details
The original project is a £5m refurbishment and fit-out of 3 terraced houses into a 5* medical recovery centre. The project has a significant amount of structural work as well as a very high end, luxury finish. It will be based in Paddington, London and last for 60 weeks. Upon completion, the successful candidate will move onto a similar refurb / fit-out project in Central London.
Responsibilities and Duties
As Project Quantity Surveyor you will report to the Commercial Manager of the refurbishments / fit-out division and be site based throughout its development. Typical duties will include management of the sub-contractors including sub-contractor payments as well as dealing with variations.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Candidates should have solid experience in managing sub-contractors and dealing with variations and be able to perform day-to-day tasks autonomously .
- Candidates coming from a main contracting or specialist refurb / fit-out sub-contractor are desired
- Candidates will ideally have experience in refurbishment and / or fit-out projects, however candidates that have exclusively new build experience are also of interest.
- Strong reporting skills are required
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
Candidates will ideally hold a formal qualification in Quantity Surveying or other relevant subject
