Quantity Surveyor

This Quantity Surveying Cost Consulting role offers the chance to work client-side for a respected consultancy, representing private developer clients in the delivery of industrial schemes.

You will lead commercial management across warehouses, factories, and related infrastructure projects in Birmingham.

Project Details

• Industrial development focus: warehouses, factories, access roads.
• Representing the developer (client side).
  

This Maxim client has a strong track record of delivering logistic, warehouse, factory, and related industrial projects, in the Midlands and across the UK.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Full pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties.
• Manage and coordinate the design team to achieve project objectives.
• Prepare cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation.
• Manage contract administration, variations, and final accounts.
• Provide commercial reporting and advice to the client.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Candidates with 5-10 years’ quantity surveying experience or equivalent will be most suitable.
• Strong background in industrial development projects preferred but not essential.
• Experience working client-side or for private developers highly desirable.
• Can demonstrate acumen and leadership skills from previous completed projects.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Professional membership (MRICS or equivalent) desirable.
