Quantity Surveyor job to work for a developer on premium new housing developments in the Caribbean
Project Details
A contractor QS type role to work on a range of smaller high-end residential projects.
Mostly built using concrete and drylined, with exterior works, retaining walls and swimming pools.
Luxury high end finishing of apartments is essential.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Establish budgets
- Generate bills of quantity separated into labour and material costs
- Manage budgets
- Budgeting for labor and materials & managing labor budgets and approving releases or payments.
- Supervise trades
- Monitor actual costs v budgets & look for further savings
- Report to the CEO and Construction Director
Desired Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in the luxury residential sector is preferred
- Experience of working in the Caribbean or internationally is advantageous
- Experience of working for a UK based housing developer or contractor desired
- Experienced and able to handle both pre and post contract work, and with a real knowledge and understanding of how take offs, budgets and costs are assessed and managed throughout the construction process
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
An HNC or BSc in Quantity Surveying is expected.
UK experience is preferred although experience of working in a location like the Caribbean is also desirable.
