Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities and Duties

This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing UK Major Contractor that has offices internationally. You will have the opportunity to gain experience on some of the largest building projects in London.

Duties will include (not limited to):

• Actively support the procurement process with the relevant construction manager and purchasing department
• The preparation of subcontractor documents
• The valuation / payment processing with subcontractors and clients
• Subcontractor management

Key Tasks and Activities:

• Administer the subcontract procurement process
• Undertake the valuation and final account process
• Provide and monitor cashflow projections
• Provide information for monthly reports
• Assist in the resolution of disputes
• Prepare subcontract valuation payments
• Provide feedback on subcontract performance
• Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders internally and externally

Desired Skills and Experience

• Quantity surveying experience for a Main Contractor is essential on large building projects
• Having strong commercial awareness and a focus on results
• Able to create and maintain strong relationships internally and externally

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Degree qualification or equivalent is desired in Quantity Surveying or similar construction discipline is desired but not essential
