Quantity Surveyor

A Quantity Surveyor is required to work for a leading national civil engineering contractor based out of Coventry.

Project Details

The successful candidate will work as part of a commercial team responsible for delivering a large number of sites that belong to a national utilities provider. You will be responsible for the infrastructure work on these sites.

Responsibilities and Duties

As Quantity Surveyor, you will report to the Lead Quantity Surveyor and manage multiple sites of work independently. Typical duties will include:

• Subcontract Payments
• CVR's
• Pricing
• Report Writing
• Valuations
• Compensation Events
• Take-off’s
• Variations
• Final Accounts
• Claims

Desired Skills and Experience

- Candidates will have several year’s experience in an Intermediate level QS role. Senior QS’s may also be considered for this role.
- Previous experience on civils and infrastructure related projects is essential. Some M&E knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Strong commercial and contractual acumen
- Strong ability to manage costs on a project and ensure delivery is completed within budget
- Strong communication skills

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

A formal qualification in Quantity Surveying is essential. This could include a HNC/HND/BSc.
