Quantity Surveyor
The client is searching for a Quantity Surveyor to be part of their exciting commercial team working at Heathrow Airport.
Project Details
The project will involve working on civils framework related improvements and new work schemes typically worth between £3m -£6m. You will join a small team of commercial staff working at the Airport for the hiring company.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Contract administration
- Subcontractor management
- Conducting valuation
- Cost value reconciliations
- Change schedule management
- Variations (compensation/additional time/ additional works)
- Pricing compensation
- Client liaison management
- Preparation of final accounts
- Issuing Interim payments certificates
Desired Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable ability to carry out the full range of Quantity Surveyor duties with minimum supervision is required. Support will be provided when needed.
- Candidates will ideally come from a main contracting or sub-contracting background.
- The candidate would ideally have previous experience with NEC contracts
- You will be highly computer literate and have an excellent standard of numeracy and literacy.
- Previous employment with smaller, specialist construction companies beneficial
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
A formal qualification such as a HND, Bsc or equivalent, in Quantity Surveying or a similar discipline would be an advantage, but is not essential.
