A Quantity Surveyor is being sought by a leading UK Housing Developer in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The successful candidate will work upon multiple exciting speculative housing projects in the North East region. Could this be an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills?

Project Details

The successful candidate will work upon multiple exciting speculative housing projects in the North East region.

Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate will report directly to the Commercial Manager and will be expected to complete a number of Quantity Surveying tasks including, but not limited to:

  •  Conducting valuations
  •  Conducting measurements
  •  Cost value reconciliations
  •  Change schedule managemen
  •  Variations (compensation/ additional time/ additional works)
  •  Pricing compensation
  •  Preparation of claims
  •  Preparation of final Accounts
  •  Issuing Interim payments certificates

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Previous Quantity Surveying experience
  • Excellent organisational/time management skills
  • IT literate
  • Good communicator - both written and verbal
  • Team player

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

A qualification such as HNC/HND or equivilent in Quantity Surveying or similar relevant discipline is desirable.
