Quantity Surveyor
A Quantity Surveyor is required to work for a London based Consultancy, but on secondment to a civils and infrastructure main contractor on a project based in St. Albans, Hertfordshire.
The client is looking to hire at short notice, therefore candidates currently available or with a short notice period are preferred. For this reason, they will consider candidates on a permanent or freelance basis.
Project Details
The hiring company carry out a range of civils and infrastructure projects, with this particular project being specifically within the rail sector. Your initial assignment will be based in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
Responsibilities and Duties
You will work on secondment within a main contractor carrying out post contract Quantity Surveying and contract administration duties as part of a commercial team.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor working on civils and infrastructure related projects
- Previous rail experience would be advantageous but is not essential. However, candidates must have exposure to civils and infrastructure projects
- Candidates must be available to start at short notice
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- A formal qualification relating to Quantity Surveying is required
Employing Company Overview and Profile
The hiring company is an established London based Consultancy with offices throughout the UK and an overseas presence. They provide commercial and disputes services to the construction industry. The commercial services side of the business works largely with main contractors in the civils and infrastructure division, however on occasion they will work on projects within the built environment. You will spend most of your time working on secondment to main contractors, splitting your time between site and the London Head Office.

£45k - £60k + Car / Travel Allowance + Benefits
