Quantum Expert

We are looking to speak with Associate or Lead Quantum Expert’s based in Paris, on behalf of a top end international construction expert witness consultancy. Those suitable will ideally have Expert Witness sector experience, be based in Paris, and will have operated at the Associate Director level or above.

Project Details

As a Quantum professional you will be assessing Quantum on major construction disputes in Europe and the wider global construction market. Project sectors are variable in the construction and infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities and Duties

The role available is to work as an Associate or lead Quantum Expert within the Quantum division, whilst mentoring more junior Quantum Consultants in the business. You will be integral in analysing documents at an expert level and assessing any grounds for negligence or unreasonable pricings and reporting these findings either in an expert report and / or in court. The majority of this work will relate to the Arbitration and Litigation stages of major claims and disputes in the construction and infrastructure sectors. Over the course of your career here, you will likely be involved on multiple large scale projects and the role will offer exposure to an exciting variety of project sectors.

Some specific duties include:
 
• Expert Quantum analysis
• High level expert report writing and management of this process
• Provision of specialist expert advice
• Managing and assessing contract termination
• Expert testimony if you show the desire, ability, and qualifications to do so
• Manage junior quantum consultants
• Work closely with the delay expert team on disputes

Desired Skills and Experience

- Shown experience in expert witness sector work
- Strong Quantity Surveying background, enabling and assisting in the continuance of high calibre Quantum Expert witness services by the organisation
- Strong continuity at previous employers

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

- Degree qualified
- MRICS or FRICS
