Project Details

As a Researcher working at Maxim Recruitment, your main responsibility will be to assist in the identification, qualification, and activation of top-level construction executives and mid-career construction professionals for live job vacancies with our premium construction industry clients in the UK and around the world.

Responsibilities and Duties

Some of your key duties and responsibilities as an Executive Search and Recruitment Researcher within the construction industry will include:

1 Conducting comprehensive research:
You will be responsible for researching specialist subsections of the construction industry to find premium individuals working within specialist niche target source companies.
The research undertaken will need to be thorough, structured and organised and involve using various resources, including bespoke internal candidate recruitment databases, online databases such as LinkedIn, social media, and other professional networks.  All training will be provided.

2 Building candidate pipelines:
You will work to establish and maintain relationships with premium potential candidates and build a pool of qualified candidates for both current and future job opportunities ready for when premium candidates are ready to make a job move.  You will maintain saved lists within the CRM and also within LinkedIn Recruiter to manage these candidates.  All training will be provided.

3 Qualifying and shortlisting candidates:
As recruitment Researcher, you will be responsible for evaluating potential candidates and for prioritising them and determining if they meet the specific requirements of the most urgent vacancy or vacancies to be filled.  They can then be submitted to the client for review and interview.  All training will be provided.

4 Supporting the recruitment process:
You will work with other members of the Maxim team (Business Development, Recruitment Consultants, Marketing, SEO etc) to do our best to ensure that the pipeline of new premium candidates keeps up with and matches our job vacancy pipeline.
You will take the lead in checking that candidates activated and shortlisted are properly vetted and are of sufficient calibre and that the recruitment process runs smoothly and effectively.
You are likely to liaise with potential candidates via phone, Teams, Zoom & email to schedule interviews or to undertake pre-interviews or full candidate interviews yourself.  All training will be provided.

5 Providing market insights:
You will be expected to develop a knowledge of and keep up-to-date with industry news within your specialist sector/s of candidate research within the construction sector.  You will become able to provide insights to candidates (& clients) on the hiring landscape on matters such as salary bands/levels in relation to experience & qualifications.  You will become knowledgeable in relation to market trends with particular construction employers that are growing in size and are recruiting, and be aware of others that are reducing headcount releasing employable candidates onto the market that we may be able to place into new jobs.  You will also be aware of the pros and cons of working for different specialist companies and the advantages and disadvantages of working in different countries around the world where we have construction job opportunities.

6 Maintaining databases:
You will work with the team to maintain and continually improve the internal Maxim CRM database of construction candidates.  This may include keeping up to date information relating to candidate current employers and making sure registered candidates are aware of the free job finding services we offer such as Maxim job alerts, monthly newsletters and our specialist LinkedIn groups offering access to our bespoke blogs and latest jobs.

7 Networking:
(Optional) You will have the chance to attend industry events and networking opportunities to establish and develop relationships with potential candidates and clients.
