An exciting Delay Senior Consultant job for a French speaker to join the Paris based team as a part of a premium group of Delay Experts and professionals based also across London, Madrid, and Dubai. As a Delay Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for undertaking premium advisory work and expert work for large value international arbitrations.

Project Details

Delay Senior Consultant job opportunity to work for the lead assistant on projects for world-renowned Delay experts involved in international arbitration and litigation. The Delay Senior Consultant role is responsible for assisting the Associate Director analysis with drafting expert reports and analysis for the final reports. You will be working on major projects in the construction and infrastructure; energy and mining; financial services; healthcare; retail; and technology; telecoms and media sectors.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assisting with the drafting and preparation of final reports and assist the Expert Witness in adjudication/ arbitration in English and in French.
  • Assisting the senior team to provide advisory services to clients on a variety of contractual and dispute related matters.
  • Liaising with the client’s management and legal team in the delivery of complex major projects.
  • Working on tasks assigned to you by the senior members of the project team.
  • Reviewing documents on varies project types.
  • Drafting notes and external communications to assist with the overall project.
  • Drafting project and assist on proposals.
  • Participating and presenting in client meetings.
  • Regularly attending marketing events – client events, seminars, and lectures to build relationship in the field.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Ideally 3 + years of construction related industry experience – preferably in project management, planning, or project control.
  • 1 + years’ experience of performing detailed delay forensic analysis would be advantageous.
  • Some previous experience in performing delay analysis or claims drafting.
  • Ideally experience with planning software, including Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Excellent analytical skills, an attention to detail and exceptional report writing skills.
  • Energetic, proactive, and professional
  • Inquisitive and curious to learn more about the industry and field.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken) and in French.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Degree level education in a construction related field.
  • Relevant MSc in engineering and/ or Construction Law and Disputes would be advantage.
