Civil Engineering recruitment continues apace as a major global rail systems and engineering firm is looking for an energetic, forward thinking Senior Project Manager Signalling to join their team in Hong Kong and deliver multiple signalling projects with dedication to sustainable and smart mobility in the field of design, engineering, installation and test & commissioning.

Project Details

You will be stationed in the client's HQ in Kowloon, Hong Kong.

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting to the Signaling Director, the incumbent will :

  • Be accountable for the signalling project Quality, Cost, Delivery and Performance 
  • Be responsible for the project governance. Define project strategy in line with contract requirements, including PMP elaboration and objectives allocation to Sub-Systems; planning, cost, quality, performance
  • Lead and coordinate project activities and stakeholders from transfer to close-out the Contract
  • Be responsible for resources management
  • Engage project teams in the successful achievement of project objectives and strengthen relationships among them
  • Synchronize internal partners and arbitrate when necessary
  • Be responsible for alignment with contractual requirements and management of variation orders. Manage claim and litigations if needed
  • Be responsible for risk, saving and opportunity management
  • Be responsible for management of the project progress and its KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with applicable rules, instructions and standards: Code of Ethics & Compliance, EHS, Railway Safety, Quality, Project Management Manual
  • Manage customer and external stakeholders’ relationship

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Ideally 10 years experience as project manager in railway industry of critical projects particularly signalling
  • Good knowledge of railway systems
  • Experience of working in multinational companies and in diverse and inclusive business cultures
  • Project management skills with Commercial, Financial, Contractual acumen
  • Diplomatic Communication skills to deal with internal and external customers
  • Team management
  • Leadership, entrepreneurship mindset and result oriented
  • Advanced Negotiation skill
  • Conflict and crisis management

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering management, Business Administration or relevant discipline
