Senior Quantity Surveyor

A Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to work on an £8m hostel project in the Greenford area of Ealing in West London. The successful candidate will be employed by a leading regional main contractor based in Birmingham and work on one of their more remote projects. Therefore the candidate will need to split their time between being office based in Birmingham and travelling to site 2 - 3 times per week in London.  Candidates will be considered on a permanent or freelance basis for this role.

Project Details

The project is an £8m hostel project based in the Greenford area of West Ealing. Your time will be split between being based in the Birmingham office and on site in London. Candidates within commutable distance from Birmingham are preferred due to likely future projects being in the West Midlands region.

Responsibilities and Duties

You will officially be based from Head Office which is situated in North Birmingham, but you will be required to visit sites 2-3 days per week. In this instance, one of your sites will be based in Ealing London.

You will need to manage and co-ordinate the junior, site based members of your team whilst supporting them on higher level issues that will arise on each project and providing reports on the progress of your projects to the Commercial Director.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to act as the lead Quantity Surveyor on projects valued between £1m - £10m
• Candidates will have previous experience of working for reputable main contractors
• Candidates with experience of using COINS are highly desirable, however this is not essential

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

 Degree qualified or similar equivalent
