Senior Quantity Surveyor

A highly reputable and well known Hong Kong company requires a motivated and committed Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial and Contract Management team in Hong Kong.

This position is based in Hong Kong head office and you will be responsible for commercial management of a unique construction project in Guangzhou. Travel to the site will be required to liaise with the site based commercial team when necessary.

Responsibilities and Duties

•  Act as the lead commercial representative for the project
•  Provide commercial/cost recommendations and advice when required
•  Provide accurate and timely reports on project status
•  Assist with both pre and post contract duties when required
•  Communicate effectively with other departments within the company

Desired Skills and Experience

• Strong experience working as Quantity Surveyor in Hong Kong
• Experience handling PRC projects is preferred
• Experience from client side/consultancy with some contracting knowledge is preferred
• Experience being commercially responsible for your own project
• Strong communication skills in Cantonese, Mandarin and English are essential

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

•  Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
•  Chartered status such as MRICS is preferred but not essential
