Senior Quantity Surveyor

Due to continued expansion a well known and reputable main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take a lead role on one of their large scale building projects based in Hong Kong. You will be site based working within a team and will report directly to the Commercial Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

•  Conduct post contract quantity surveying duties;
•  Responsible for commercial contract administration;
•  Responsible for preparing commercial reports for senior management review;
•  Handle payment applications and final account.
•  Assist with any claims work if necessary
•  Oversee and review the work of junior staff
•  Report directly to the Commercial Manager

Desired Skills and Experience

•  Experience working in Hong Kong with a main contractor
•  Experience working at Project QS or Senior QS level
•  Candidates with building or civil engineering project experience will both be considered
•  Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese
•  Strong leadership and negotiation skills

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

•  Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline
•  Chartered status is preferred but not essential
