An exceptional opportunity for an experienced Team Leader of Quantity Surveying to join a long-established cost consultancy in Dubai.

The successful candidate will be a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) with 15+ years of postgraduate experience, including 3–5 years of professional experience in the Middle East, ideally in Dubai or the wider UAE.  These are ESSENTIAL CRITERIA.

This position offers the chance to lead a team delivering pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services on major airport and aviation infrastructure projects in Dubai. Project Details

The successful candidate will manage a team of Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors responsible for cost management, procurement, and commercial administration of airport infrastructure and associated civil engineering works. The role is based in Dubai and involves close client interaction on major new airport programmes.

Responsibilities and Duties

Your responsibilities as a Team Leader of Quantity Surveying will include:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of Quantity Surveyors and Cost Managers on complex aviation projects
  • Managing all aspects of pre- and post-contract cost control
  • Preparing and reviewing cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation
  • Performing value engineering and cost management throughout the project lifecycle
  • Administering FIDIC or similar forms of contract and applying international standards of measurement
  • Conducting tender evaluations, contractor assessments, and preparing recommendations for award
  • Reviewing and approving interim payment certificates, variations, and final accounts
  • Preparing cash flow forecasts, financial reports, and commercial summaries for clients
  • Ensuring full compliance with contract conditions and client entitlements
  • Attending and leading client and progress meetings
  • Supporting the business to maintain strong client relationships and undertake business development

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of post-degree experience in Quantity Surveying, including at least 3–5 years in the Middle East (ideally Dubai/UAE)
  • MRICS qualification is essential
  • Strong experience in the aviation sector, including airport infrastructure, terminals, and civil engineering works, is essential
  • Proven ability to manage project delivery teams and interface effectively with clients
  • Sound understanding of pre- and post-contract cost management principles and reporting
  • Strong commercial acumen and communication skills
  • Previous experience in a consultancy or client-side environment preferred
  • Prior UK experience with leading cost consultancies or contractors is advantageous

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent accredited qualification from a recognised university is essential
  • Full professional membership of the RICS (MRICS or FRICS) is mandatory
  • Candidates must demonstrate at least 15 years of postgraduate experience in Quantity Surveying roles
  • Candidates with both UK and Middle East consultancy experience will be prioritised
