A major river-crossing infrastructure construction project in Vancouver valued at over $4BN is now underway and expected to run for more than five years. This project represents one of the most significant transportation infrastructure developments in British Columbia and will involve major structural, civil engineering, highway and environmental works.
This Technical Project Manager job role, based in Vancouver, will play a key leadership role in supporting the design, development, and construction delivery of this complex infrastructure scheme.
The project is being delivered under a progressive design-and-build model and requires strong technical coordination between designers, contractors and project delivery teams.

Responsibilities and Duties
As Technical Project Manager, you will provide technical leadership across design development and infrastructure project delivery, ensuring engineering solutions are practical, compliant and aligned with the project construction programme.
Detailed Technical Project Manager Job Duties Include:
- Lead technical project coordination and management for a major infrastructure construction project in Vancouver
- Manage the interface between engineering design teams and construction delivery teams
- Ensure engineering designs are constructible and aligned with construction sequencing
- Oversee technical delivery of a defined segment of the river crossing project
- Coordinate civil engineering, structural, highway, geotechnical and environmental design packages
- Ensure engineering designs remain compliant with environmental approvals and regulatory obligations
- Ensure design solutions align with project budget and delivery programme constraints
- Provide technical leadership throughout the construction phase to support delivery teams
- Support with project governance and design approvals
- Manage relationships with engineering consultants, contractors and key project stakeholders
Foster strong collaboration between multidisciplinary infrastructure project teams
Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Degree in civil engineering, structural engineering or related engineering discipline
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) status in Canada preferred
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) candidates from the UK or other jurisdictions may be considered if pursuing or willing to pursue P.Eng accreditation in Canada
