Director Forensic Planning job vacancy in the construction sector to join a large multidisciplinary construction consultancy based in their London office and WFH some days also.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Associate Director or Delay Director with Delay Analysis and Forensic Planning experience to further develop their career as a manager, work winner and progress their delay expert career.

You will currently be an experienced Delay Director or Associate Director with delay and forensic planning specialism. You will have responsibility for managing a team of Delay Analysts on a number of complex and concurrent projects and will be acting as Expert on your own projects.  You will be looking for opportunities to expand your reach, grow your team responsibilities and continue to progress your career at a rapid rate.

Responsibilities and Duties

Working as Director of Forensic Planning in the London office, you will have the responsibility to

  • Lead and manage a team of delay analysts; Associate Directors, Senior Consultants and Consultants working on a number of cases
  • Act as an appointed Expert on commissions
  • Take full responsibility for expert report writing and to manage your team to assist with preparing background information and sections of reports
  • Provide specialist delay and forensic advice to external clients
  • Lead and develop the provision of specialist expert advice on all alternative dispute resolution subject areas
  • Be able to use your experience of testifying and related preparatory work to grow your gravitas and reputation to secure further opportunities to testify and build the business
  • Deliver expert delay and forensic planning services in line with client briefs and the company business plan
  • Able to network and win work and to develop relationships with both construction industry solicitors and influential contacts within construction building and civil engineering contractors
  • Take a lead in the coaching and training of your delay analysis team and encourage their professional progression

Desired Skills and Experience

In order to be suitable for this challenging Director Forensic Planning job based in London, it is expected that suitable candidates will have:

  • Over 15 years of experience within delay, engineering, planning and related areas
  • Have recently undertaken an Associate Director Delay Analysis role (or equivalent) and have managed a team of delay analysts working on a number of concurrent cases
  • Will have had significant exposure to delay related work and expert delay work at both a hands on and at managerial level
  • Had experience of both writing your own and contributing sections to expert reports written by or with other delay experts
  • Had specific experience of providing specialist delay and forensic advice to external clients
  • Have had extensive experience of being appointed and acting as an Expert
  • Have had extensive experience of delivering expert delay and forensic planning services to satisfied clients
  • Have proven work winning ability and experience
  • Have built up a profile with both construction industry solicitors and influential contacts within construction building and civil engineering contractors
  • Experienced in coaching and training a delay analysis team and encouraging their professional progression

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Suitable Delay Expert Director level candidates should be a member of a relevant engineering or construction industry professional body
  • A higher qualification in construction law, such as an MSc in Construction Law is expected
  • MCIArb or FCIArb are desirable
