The team at Maxim have been working to provide and refine a range of recruitment and career resources on our award-winning website for twenty years. Along with uploading exciting and exclusive jobs based around the world, we provide a range of useful resources both for employers and for jobseekers that facilitate an efficient recruitment process – which is to everyone’s advantage.
All of the recruitment and career resources can be found in the ‘News’ section but this post is a ‘cheat sheet’ giving a fast-track tour of the sections and specific articles that might be relevant to you – and to highlight a few of my favourite straight-talking blogs that offer some great advice.

As Maxim works to combine the best jobseekers with the best employers, we have created a specialist section for both:
Construction Career Advice
This section includes a collection of career advice aimed at jobseekers covering every possible aspect and stage of the construction recruitment process relating to jobseekers.
There is a range of informative advice about CVs, performing well at interview, negotiating your salary as well as getting the best out of your recruitment consultant. My favourite article is how to optimise your CV which gives jobseekers back to basic advice on how time, effort and attention to detail is required to prepare a good CV that gives you the best chance in your job search. I’ve been recruiting for over 25 years now so hopefully there is some good advice in here somewhere!
Employer Resources:
This section offers a range of resources for employers and interviewers to enable them optimise the recruitment process and ensure that they recruit the right candidates efficiently and professionally.
There is an informative range of articles on our blog that cover all aspects of the recruitment process from the employer’s perspective. Another informative article is “Why Don’t Candidates Want to Work for You?” that offers a checklist as well as a reality check that the recruitment process is a collaborative process.
Tailored Advice to Specialist Skill Sets Within Construction:
As specialists in construction recruitment in the UK and worldwide, we offer construction professionals good advice and great career opportunities. To see if we recruit for your area of specialism, you can search for your current or desired job title to see if we have a live role for you – and if we don’t, you are very welcome to set up a job alert for when we do.

Salary Advice and Guides:
Finally, as recruiters, we of course offer salary advice to both employers and to live or prospective candidates. In general terms, we prefer to offer bespoke advice to individuals that match the circumstances, career stage and target location/s in question. It is also possible to deduce salary levels from searching through the live job roles we regularly post on the Maxim website. We do maintain a salary guide for professionals working within the construction claims and dispute sector on a regular basis.
