The successful Project Manager will work on purpose-built rental residential developments in Toronto.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Project Manager will play a key role working as part of the project management team to manage the successful delivery of high-density build-to-rent residential schemes projects from inception through to completion.

  • Manage purpose-built rental residential projects through all project lifecycle stages
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure project success
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and risks
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Support procurement and contract administration processes
  • Liaise with stakeholders and provide regular project updates
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in resolving construction and design-related issues

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal Project Manager will demonstrate a well-rounded background in construction project delivery and a collaborative, proactive approach.

  • Experience as a Project Manager within the construction or property development sector
  • Experience working on residential projects, ideally purpose-built rental developments in Toronto but training can be given for experience not gained in Toronto
  • Some site-based experience early in career is preferred
  • Experience working for an integrated developer or a construction management company is advantageous
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project priorities
  • Commercial awareness and problem-solving capability

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or similar
  • Professional memberships (e.g. PMP, MRICS or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential
