Senior Quantity Surveyor

A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a respected Quantity Surveying and Cost Consultancy based in Dubai, UAE.

The successful candidate will have around 10–12 years of post-degree experience, including 2–5+ years of experience working in the Middle East, ideally within Dubai or the wider UAE. You will work on prestigious airport development projects, providing full pre- and post-contract quantity surveying and cost management services.

Professionals with experience in the aviation sector—particularly on the civil engineering and infrastructure aspects of airports—are especially encouraged to apply.

Current and upcoming projects include major airport and aviation-related developments, alongside other large-scale infrastructure and civil engineering projects across the Emirates.

Responsibilities and Duties

Your duties as a Senior Quantity Surveyor will include, but not be limited to:

• Supervising the production of cost plans and estimates by your team
• Working to provide full pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services
• Managing a team of Quantity Surveyors and measurement staff
• Performing value engineering and cost analysis
• Tender evaluation and preparation of award recommendations
• Preparing and presenting cost reports and cash flow forecasts to clients
• Administering contracts, ensuring compliance with client entitlements and contractual notices
• Preparing and reviewing contractor payment recommendations and variation assessments
• Leading final account negotiations
• Managing and mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors and measurement staff

Desired Skills and Experience

• Minimum 10 years of post-degree experience in Quantity Surveying
• 2–5 years’ professional experience in the Middle East, ideally in Dubai or the UAE
• Strong understanding of both pre-contract and post-contract cost management
• Experience of managing a team of QS working on pre and post contract quantity surveying work
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects or major work packages
• Experience in the aviation or airport sector, particularly on civil engineering works, is highly desirable
• Excellent communication, reporting, and client-facing skills
• Previous experience working within a consultancy environment is preferred

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent from a recognised university is essential
• MRICS accreditation is desirable but not essential
• Candidates must hold at least 10 years of post-qualification (QS degree) experience
