The Dubai construction market got some positive news this month when the eagerly anticipated extension to the Dubai Metro Red Line, dubbed 'Route 2020' was officially approved. The Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president prime minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, instructed the Roads and Transport Agency (RTA) to begin work immediately on Route 2020.

The stadium has a maximum seating capacity of 40,000 and regularly hosts international football matches and other large sporting events such as the ever popular Hong Kong Sevens rugby tournament. But now there are plans to develop an even larger state of the art Sports stadium and complex in Hong Kong, Kai Tak Sports Stadium.
