Spring Overview of Exciting Job Opportunities

Posted by Daria Tkach, Senior Recruitment Consultant on Tuesday, April 18, 2023

The construction market is expected to continue to grow in the spring of 2023. The growth will be driven by continued demand for housing, commercial real estate, and infrastructure projects. However, the market will face some challenges, including rising costs, labour shortages and supply chain disruptions.

At Maxim Recruitment we are experiencing a continuing demand for skilled construction industry professionals across multiple construction and property specialisms – including the housing, building, infrastructure, rail and tunneling sectors both in the UK and internationally.   Maxim Recruitment offers our clients access to the very best candidates across all of these sectors, during a time of significant ongoing skills shortages in the construction industry.

I will run through highlights of our UK and international roles.  All our construction jobs are listed on our website with easy filtering options.

Quantity Surveying

Quantity Surveying remains to be one of our core specialist areas as an independent construction recruitment agency. We have a range of Quantity Surveyor Jobs available UK wide, CanadaHong Kong and other international opportunities.

At the moment I am working on an exciting civil engineering Quantity Surveyor job vacancy in Norway on a large road infrastructure project with major bridge and tunnel sections of work. This groundbreaking project is the largest road infrastructure contract awarded in Norway and in Europe last year.

Suitable Quantity Surveyor candidates for this role will have a background in civil engineering, with experience in contract administration and good commercial awareness. Visas will be organised for successful candidates.  We have a variety of levels of QS roles available, suited towards individuals with different levels of experience.

Assistant Estimators

My most urgent Assistant Estimator job role is with a property development company located in Bedfordshire. This role will incorporate aspects of estimating, quantity surveying and project management, so it will give great exposure to the right candidate to develop their career in any direction. You will work as part of a small project management team within a highly professional business division.

Clerk of Works and Quality Technical Inspectors

In addition, I continue to specialise in Clerk of works recruitment, and currently am working on a few exciting roles, for example a Quality Technical Inspector .  This a great opportunity for an experienced Clerk of Works or a Building Inspector to join a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy as a Quality Technical Inspector. It is required that the candidates can demonstrate previous experience in both inspecting new build and refurbishment construction works in progress.

This role is best suited towards an experienced site inspection professional, looking to step up to a challenge to take the next step in their career.

The details  of a new Clerk of Works role with an exciting construction consultancy to carry out inspections around the East London area and Essex can be viewed here:  Clerk of Works .  Suitable candidates must be MICWCI – current members of the Institute of Clerk of Works.

If you have any additional questions or would like to send your application to the roles I have presented, get in touch.
