Senior Quantity Surveyor Pre-Contract
An excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Cost Manager to join a leading cost consultancy in Dubai.
The successful candidate will have strong pre-contract experience, be client-facing, and play a key role in managing design and budgets on landmark developments across the Middle East.
Project Details
Projects include high-end new build schemes such as museums, hotels, offices, villas, high-rise developments and aviation facilities across the Middle East.
The successful candidate will initially focus on pre-contract cost management but may also support projects into the post-contract phase.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take a leading role in delivering cost management and quantity surveying services on complex, high-value projects. Responsibilities include:
- Leading pre-contract cost planning, estimating and procurement activities
- Interpreting design intent and managing cost plans in line with the client’s budget
- Supervising measurement and preparing bills of quantities
- Preparing tender documentation and managing tender evaluation processes
- Providing strategic advice on procurement and contract strategy
- Managing design teams to ensure cost-effective solutions
- Representing the consultancy in client meetings and presentations
- Supporting post-contract services as projects progress to the construction stage
Desired Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in pre-contract cost management and cost planning within a consultancy environment
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Ability to interpret design information and manage the design-to-cost relationship
- Experience working on major commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments in the Middle East
- Aviation project experience would be advantageous
- Leadership ability, approaching Associate level
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- MRICS qualification is essential
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent discipline
