An experienced P3/AFP expert is needed in Toronto, Canada to lead one of the world’s largest transit procurement assignments.  Full details will be given to shortlisted applicants.

A major rail transit project in Toronto, Canada

Responsibilities and Duties

You will work in a multi-disciplinary team on design and procurement documents, and will be required to provide technical, commercial and procurement advice as a part of a close knit team. Your role will continue during live construction and you will give commercial advice of a commercially sensitive and confidential nature. You will support the contract compliance teams and work on variation and claim notices and negotiations to a satisfactory conclusion. Responsibility will also be to assist with the evaluation of submissions and negotiations prior to Financial Close.

Desired Skills and Experience

An experienced project and program manager, you have worked on major infrastructure projects, within the rail transportation sector. Experience of engineering, design and construction management as applied to structures, roadways, facilities and related transportation projects is essential.

As a guide:
•20+ years of experience in major rail, highway engineering projects is needed
•Extensive experience in procurement design and contract negotiations
•Extensive project management experience with multi-billion-dollar project budgets
•Experience in large PPP P3 Public Private Partnership projects using specialist project delivery methods is very much preferred.
•Knowledge and experience of Ontario’s Alternative Finance Procurement (AFP) delivery methods would be highly advantageous
•Experience with a wide variety of AFP PPP projects in many jurisdictions globally is advantageous, and to be able to cascade experience within the team.
•Significant railway experience with both light and heavy rail is needed
•Lender’s Technical Advisor and Independent Certifier experience is desirable
•A strong safety and safety certification background.
