Manager Baggage Handling System

A senior client side systems engineer with experience of baggage handling systems design, installation and commissioning is required for the midfield concourse at HK Airport.

Project Details

This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage and oversee the implementation and delivery of the CAPEX project of Arrival Bag for Midfield Concourse
• Ensure the works complies with relevant standard and international requirements and HKSAR statutory regulations
• Closely communicate with Fault Response Team, Maintenance Managers, Airfield Department, Projects Department and relevant contractors on the project related issues
• Ensure timely completion and smooth handover of the works to front-line departments for on-going operation and maintenance

Desired Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 10 years' relevant working experience
• Sound technical knowledge in design and implementation of Baggage Handling System (BHS)/ Material Handling System (MHS)
• Candidates with less academic qualification with minimum 15 years’ experience and specialized and extensive knowledge in BHS will also be considered.
• Solid experience in management of design, planning and construction works and site supervision of system works in airport operational environment
• Team player with good organization, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Possess a valid HK driving license (Class 1,2) is preferred
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua would be an advantage

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical Engineering or other related disciplines
• Professional qualification in related discipline gained from recognized professional bodies
