This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Manager, Contracts & Cost Control to join a leading Hong Kong based client working on a mega scale project. You will be reporting to the General Manager of Capital Works Department and he/she will lead a team of around 20+staff including Manager, Contracts as well as a nos. of Quantity Surveyors.

You will based in client's HQ on Lantau Island.

Responsibilities and Duties

•Lead a team of Managers, Cost and Control and Project Quantity Surveyors to implement a cost control system for monitoring the financial issues of projects
•Supervise the team for preparation of tender document packages for design, quantity surveying and other related consultancies and construction works contracts, including but not limited review of tender and construction deliverables such as drawings specifications, bills of quantities, tender reference documents, etc.
•Formulate the procurement strategies of capital works and maintenance projects
•Prepare projects budget and lead to identify comprehensive and innovative value engineering solutions to achieve value for money
•Manage the project cost including project engineering, vetting of cost estimates and project cost control and reporting
•Prepare special terms and conditions of construction works contracts
•Oversee the entire prequalification, tendering, tender assessment and contract award process and prepare all associated correspondence and documentation
•Lead contract administration of design, quantity surveying and other related consultancies and construction works contracts to ensure project completed according to the contract and within budget
•Work closely with internal stakeholders and external consultants

Desired Skills and Experience

 •At least 15 years’ relevant experience, preferably in contract procurement, cost estimating, cost control and contract administration of major multi-disciplinary construction projects
•Excellent leadership, problem solving and communication skills
•Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.  Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
•Holder of a valid Hong Kong driving license (Class 1, 2) is preferred

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

•Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Cost Management, Engineering or other related disciplines
•Professional qualification of relevant disciplines gained from recognized professional bodies
