Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civils
Project Details
You will be stationed either at Head Office in Lai Chi Kok providing critical input to multiple projects or based full time on one of the multi billion $$$$ civil projects currently underway across Hong Kong.
Responsibilities and Duties
-Ensure correspondence and records in connection with contract receipts and payments
-Liaise with other departments in respect of the progress and contracts.
-Measure work done of contractors
-Prepare cost / valuation comparisons
-Contract administration
-Carry out QS duties including preparation of sub contract tendering & documentation, main contract and sub contract interim payment applications / valuations, final account, insurance claims and contractural claims including EOT
-Manage and mentor QS's in the team
-Attend meetings and negotiate with clients, consultants, subcontractor / suppliers
-Preparation of project budget and cash flow forecast
-Prepare cost saving exercis
Desired Skills and Experience
8 years minimum relevant experience in large civil projects preferably gained from a main contracting organization;
Understanding and awareness of contractual responsibilities both of Chun Wo and our Subcontractors
A Strong team player and able to work under pressure;
Excellent problem solving, analytical and negotiation skills;
Good communication and interpersonal skill;
Well-versed in MS Office;
Good command of English and Chinese.
Candidates with less experience will be considered as Project Quantity Surveyor
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
Degree holder in QS or related disciplines
Professional qualification in RICS / HKIS or equivalent with 3 year's post qualification
